The West End is the most rental-heavy neighbourhood in the city, and the one where you get the most floor area for the money. Most of the stock is from the 1960s and 70s.
That age cuts both ways. You get larger rooms and lower rent, but often no in-suite laundry and no air conditioning. Parking costs extra when it exists at all.
